Our story begins with family.

Founded by three sisters and their mom, The Wedding Closet was created from a real need we experienced ourselves. After our oldest sister was in six weddings within 18 months right after college, we quickly realized how overwhelming and expensive wedding season can be—especially for bridesmaids trying to find dresses, shoes, and everything in between.

That experience sparked a simple question: why isn’t there a space specifically dedicated to reselling bridesmaids dresses and wedding-related pieces? A place that feels organized, thoughtful, and easy to shop—without the endless searching through generic resale sites.

We decided to build that space together as a women-led, family-run business. Working alongside our mom and sisters has made this company even more meaningful to us, because it reflects the values we were raised with—hard work, care, and a desire to help others.

We wanted to create the marketplace we wish we had during these busy wedding years—a wedding-focused space that makes life easier for bridesmaids and the people closest to them during such a special season. Wedding planning is overwhelming enough already. Finding what you need shouldn’t be.

We’re starting with bridesmaid dresses because we know how central bridesmaids are to the wedding experience, and we love the idea of women supporting one another through buying and reselling within the same community. By giving dresses a second life, we can help reduce waste, ease financial pressure, and make beautiful pieces more accessible for the next celebration.

And this is only the beginning. While bridesmaid dresses are where our story starts, we’re building with the intention to grow into a broader destination for wedding wardrobe pieces over time.
